My brother in law is coming to town this weekend.  He can't have wheat or gluten or soy or dairy.

Would like to make an easy dessert for him, do you have any ideas?  He has a sweet tooth and likes chocolate.

Thanks,

Liz

Were you planning on using  butter/ cream/ milk subsitiutes? that would increase your options

A simple dessert that would require no  such subsitutes would be Poached pear with (soy lecithin free) chocolate sauce (can send you a recipe if you need one)

No dairy leaves out butter.  I was thinking a lime curd tart in an almond flour crust might work, but making the crust without butter could be a bit of trouble.  Fruit sorbet?  Chocolate covered bacon?

What about a chocolate mousse on chocolate and water?
You'll find it here, with a little bit of help from Heston Blumenthal

Sorry for not replying - I never received notifications although I had it set for it....

Anything with dairy is no good.   I love the ideas for a chocolate torte or a chocolate mousse.   I watched the YouTube video but it didn't have quantities/measurements.

We ended up doing some fruit but it was embarrasing - well for me at least.

Thanks again everyone and now I'll be prepared!

Meringue cups with sorbet and fresh fruits and chocolate enrobed caramel coated candied cherries.
No dairy, no gluten, low fat- lots of wow!
