My Wife, the best smell in the kitchen.............33 years and still going.......... She is a RN, quit her job 12 years ago and washed dishes, moped floors, did whatever was needed to help me succeed in my business. I would take a few more like her, she has great customer service and does what ever is needed so things run smooth. Once in awhile a customer will ask her how she was so lucky to get her job, ( when shes moping up a mess) her answer is, She sleeps with the boss..............Chefbillyb
Aww BillyB - you ol' romantic. I'm glad to hear of a couple hanging together for such a wonderful space of time, helping each other out, and still will a sense of humour.
Back OT, my least favourite smell as Mary B said - the bin /img/vbsmilies/smilies/eek.gif Especially now the weather is hotter here it's gotta be done at minimum twice a day. I try and double bag anything which I know is going to pong, but even so the aroma finds its way out.
As for awful cooking/food smells:
Old grease being used for deep frying - blecccch
Overcooked cabbage
Fruit that's gone way too ripe and not been used
Old veg in hot weather - potato, pumpkin, onions sitting forgotten in the pantry.
Plus - have you ever left
liver (whatever type) in plastic in the fridge for too long. O...M...Gosh... you will keep that smell all thru your head for days. Even any type of offal. Icky yuk.
