I'm making the squid ink pasta fresh along with grilled squid, shrimp and scallops.

Wife doesn't like sauvignon blanc, otherwise anything goes.

Does it need to be white wite? With the gilled seafood you might try a young pinot noir, or dare i say a glass of cheep cold lambrusca. Ive always had a soft spot for cheep red wine, all my grandparents generation drank it and as kids we would get a sip at sunday dinner.

I like a nice Tempranillo in bottle, or if we're talking inexpensive then Bota Box Malbec and Redvolution are good tasting reds.

We ended up with a oaky Napa chard (my wife likes them), a flinty French chablis (a white I like) and a few southern Rhone's. All went well and the pasta turned out better than expected.
