Here's an excellent example of why restaurant owners need to hire food stylists to prepare food photos for the restaurant website.

Clearly, the chef prepared these dishes but didn't consider whether the food actually looked appetizing in the photo.

A LOT OF MONEY was sunk into this restaurant (I know the owner) and the rent is not cheap (NYC theater district.)

Why skimp on the photos and post pics on your website where the food looks like a plate full of worms?

I'd be interested in my fellow chefs' take on the menu. Identity crisis anyone?

disclaimer, our site is mostly customer driven with their photos. BUT!!!!

How did that site get past everyone? I kept waiting for it to get better.

The lack of styling aside, the photos? Phone?

Hopefully they will live off word of mouth.

Your cakes are beautiful, customer photos reveal the happiness revolving around a wedding cake, plus there's never any mistake as to what it is.

But really, this site is a prime example of what NOT to do on a restaurant website. I couldn't find the address or phone number until I'd clicked through several pages.

That music and and acid trip of swirling images?

Made me queasy even before the images of the food.

Though I am not a professional chef, I am the kind of guest that does look up a place on the internet before we even make a reservation.

Oh My!  Have you talked to your friend foodnfoto?

I do want to say that this restaurant looks like a beautiful space.

I clicked on the contacts tab, and up pops "contact form and contact info", there they have an address and telephone number.

Don't you want to put that on your home page?

Oh, Kane, this guy is not really my friend. He's kind of the village political blowhard that owns  a resto/pub here (20 years old and never been dusted) and recently opened the place represented by the website you see before you.

Can't tell this guy anything-complete know-it-all, but can't make and omelette without burning the bottom (ick)

Tempted to send those very funny links to him though.
