why my codfish smashed

i don't know why my fried codfish smashed . i bought a bag of codfish from supermarket . they look good and not cheap one . but i don't know why it is so ....how to say that ? just easy to be smashed . i remember last time i fried it was not like this . i am thinking my pan . my oil ,my spatula ....
nothing wrong !
would you like to tell me what 's wrong with my cooking ? or my codfish ?

can you describe what you mean by smashed?

do you mean fall apart?

If frozen  to much water added at point of origin  (commonly called glazing or glazed weight ). Pan and oil not hot enough  or just plain overcooking.
