is it because of old baking powder and soda powder?

the recipe is from the book. "you: on a diet" and the recipe is the banana cake. i think also available online for free.

let me know what i did wrong. it's really soggy and moist and not fluffy.

    thanks

Seeing the recipe would be a great help.

Old baking powder and old baking soda would certainly contribute to problems, as would incorrect technique, incorrect oven temperatures, etc.

Like Pete said, really need to see the recipe.

I did a recipe search (on the link) and there are more than one for banana cake.

Would also be helpful to know the protein content of the whole wheat flour you used.

Also if you subbed anything and if so, what and how much.

i hope to write the recipe later on. thank you very much.

i do tend to think it's old baking powder and soda powder as well as a little temp issue.
