I am looking for an old timey white icing recipe. This icing was very light, pure white, and would crack when it set. I'm 61 and my Grandmother used to make it. She would use it when she made a Banana Cake. She would make thin layers of vanilla cake. Then she would alternate fillings of a mashed banana mixture and the white icing between layers. Then she would frost the top and sides with the icing. It was so good.
