As a home cook I may not find any sympathetic to my needs, but thought I would give a try on this forum.

Maybe I am paranoid about accurate measurement, but I hate using liquid measure cups to measure semi liquid ingredients such as shortening or peanut butter. You can't level off at a half cup without a lot of time used. However if you use conventional dry measure cup which levels quickly and easily, you might miss a giant air bubble hiding in the corner of the bottom of the cup. So neither method offers a good solution.

What I want is a set of good quality clear plastic "dry" measure cups  for those semi-liquid ingredients so I can see possible air bubbles AND get an accurate and quick leveling with a flat blade.

Does anybody know of such an item or do I need to invent it and sell it to a million other paranoid cooks like myself?

Thanks much.  Normally I am smart enough to have thought of that.  This easy solution escaped my own remedy.  I will have to put a chart up on the fridge for the various measurements and maybe different ingredients, though I suspect peanut butter and shortening have the same density.
