It seems to be the case that employers aren't putting any identifying info about themselves in their help wanted ads. It's starting to tick me off a bit. How am I supposed to do my pre planning when I don't even know the name of the restaurant I'm applying to?

In my experience, a lot of those sorts of ads come from temp agencies and that sort of thing. Just trying to drum up resumes/new blood to farm out.

Not all of them certainly, but enough.

    Tin,

With the current economy and unemployment we found ourselves doing the same thing.

Our biggest problem was giving the Name and location drew so many people from unemployment it was overwhelming.

Not that I wouldn't hire someone on unemployment, but almost 100% of the visits were persons wanting us to sign their UE

papers verifying their visit. A requirement for their benefits. Not 1 person actually wanted a job.

Most employers around here have gone to craigs list for this very reason.
