Candied sweet potatoes are my favorite this time of the year.

Along kuan's line of sweet potatoes, one of my favorites is to make sweet potatoes with a sage butter and use honey instead of maple syrup then top it with some candied walnuts or pecans in honey as well.  The sage butter adds a great savoriness that balances really well with the light sweetness of the honey.

I've always used brown sugar, butter, and marshmallows.  :)  But you know what?  Maple syrup or honey and sage butter sounds amazing.  I can actually smell it.
