just curious to see the overall opinion of people who may have attend school or no.
Didn't go, and not interested in going.
Culinary school is a great thing, and it's a good idea to attend. It just depends on what kind of work you want to get into once your out, in my opinion of course.

Respected and talented executive chef? Save your money.
I have found that the best restaurant chefs I've worked under and have gotten to know have started from the bottom and earned their way up the chain. Culinary school offers a lot and will teach a person the fundamentals, but that can all be learned by working your way up from dishwasher to wheel person on a line. Culinary school offers a great head start, but if a person doesn't have the time and money, he or she can get those tools for success in a kitchen under a great chef.
great topic! Can't wait to see what others have to say.
I went to ESCF in Paris. Absolutely AMAZING!!!
