I know its great for salads but is there anything else (that tastes yummy) it can be used for?
Never worked with it, but I believe it can be treated the same ways that you might treat a potato or sweet potato, i.e. mash, boil, fry, puree, bake, etc.
Jicama is great for making various slaws.
It also makes a fine substitute for crackers. Just peel it, slice it, and pile on the goodies.
Tastes great with mexican chili powder and lemon juice /img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif
Definitely going to make the chili powder and lemon juice, sounds delicious! thanks.
I've used it, peeled and cut into small cubes, in stir fry. It's pretty yummy.
