    I am thankful for a great many things and thought I would share a few. Hope you feel comfortable doing the same.

    I am thankful:
    • That I have a great wife and great family
    • That I am healthy
    • That I have a good job and work with great people
    • That ChefTalk is still alive and well after 11+ years
    • For all the great people who have helped build this community

    aside from the usual spouse, family, friends, health and pets here are a few more things that i am most thankful for...and not just at thanksgiving either

    ~ that our service men and women will be coming home soon...war is just never good for a nation or for its people

    ~ that i am not homeless

    ~ that i was fortunate to be born where i was, in the u.s.a......that i am not a women in syria, congo africa, pakistan or afghanistan &

       that i live where free thoughts, speech and actions are not only allowed, but encouraged

    ~ that aside from the normal 'wear and tear', i am not physically or mentally incapacitated

    ~ that CT is such a great place to come together to discuss, contribute, learn and share information, knowledge, opinions, ideas and laughs

    Cook At Home
    Leftovers;

    The Norelco Christmas commercial with the snowman riding around in the shaver head;

    Certain relatives, but others not so much;

    Certain friends, they know whom they are;

    George (our shar pei) is wearing a jaunty, Thanksgiving themed neckerchief;

    NBA strike resolution (quel surprise!  Who ever would have thought they'd split 50/50?);

    Stanford won't be national champ;

    The Raiders are still in it.

    hey bdl,

     that's pretty funny that you're thankful for the electric shaver commercial.... especially coming from a man who hasn't held one in his hand to use on his own face for what...decades?...just please don't tell me that there is no santa claus ok? /img/vbsmilies/smilies/cool.gif

    Honestly a roof over my head and food in my belly in these economically troubled times.

    On a lighter note KU basketball and good friends are also great things to be thankful for!

    I'm grateful to be home

    In my own house

    In my own bed

    With my own bathroom (that I no longer have to share)

    Loved spending Thanksgiving with the fam, but it's good to be home

    I'm late on this but in no particular order I am thankful for..

    My son's continued good health and tumor free status

    The medication that is available to treat inactive TB, as it has re-emerged in North America with the influx of immigrants from the third world.... nothing against the third world but my daughter has inactive TB and they told us at the clinic that the third world immigrants are bringing it over with them

    My 83 year old mother in law and all she does

    My family... I love them all

    Being employed in such a crappy economy

    Having a roof over my head and food to eat

    The dog... she is just a bundle of happiness

    and the list can go on and on...
