I am 23 and currently live Olympia Wa. I work as a line cook for a casual pizzeria that serves affordable upscale food. I as well work as a prep cook/ line cook at a middle end upscale restaurant. I have a passion for cooking and no that it is what I would like to do as a career path. I am however worried about finding an affordable and extensive culinary program in the northwest area. I was originally looking at the western culinary institute and then changed my mind after discovering the lawsuit. I have since then been looking at the Oregon Culinary institute aware that many of their chef instructors came from the western culinary institute. They appear to be dedicated instructors who are not after my money (or lack there of), but this of course is what I thought of WCI. I am having trouble locating helpful reviews online for various culinary colleges in the northwest area and would very much appreciate any help. I know that I want to go to culinary school more than anything but am terrified of a terrible education and lack of job opportunities upon completion of a culinary program. Again any advice or help would be very much appreciated.
