I have never gotten that here at Cheftalk, although I have come across it quite a bit on torrent sites, tech forums and viral video feeds. That thing is now just in your system, run a scan and you should be rid of it. try Avira

it hit me the other day- i cleaned it up.  but, the message has come back once since then.  there's something in my computer that's drawing it i think.  at malwarebytes cleaned most of it out.

SuperAntispyware and Malwarebytes do a good job together. But you probably still need some registry cleanup. Ccleaner is a good basic tool, Hijackthis if you're nerdy is a handy addition.

Yes. It's only you.

Just kidding. /img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif

A well written virus is well behaved to avoid detection and you'll never know it's there. If you saw the popup, you're probably not infected.

The stuff that pops up and says "You're infected, download this" is actually trying to get you to infect your own computer because it's incapable of doing the job by itself.

Hit Alt-F4 to close the popup (never click any of the buttons provided on a suspicious form), and you might consider enabling the pop-up blocker in your browser to prevent more of the same. In Firefox, it's under Preferences->Content.
