    Nicko,

I had the pop-up multiple times from this site at home and at work but it is a pop-up ad saying you have a virus and starts a fake scan of a computer showing virus infections but it is really not your computer. If you close out the window it goes away as it is ad (and a bad one). If you click OK, Cancel, X or hit Esc on your PC it will still run the fake scan showing infections you just need to close out the window.

    Hope this helps,

    Brian

    No virus alerts.

    Windows 98SE

Clamwin antivirus software (does not actively monitor, it has to be manually run)

Note:  Cheftalk.com runs WAY slower than it used to on my system.

I actually got a notice saying that an intrusion had been attempted but it had been successfully blocked, while I was browsing the forums on my computer at home. I don't have a screenshot at this time, but I can look up the info in my history to see what it was labelled as. I could have sworn it was labeled in there as some kind of Update something, which was why I guessed it was the fake scan thing mentioned earlier.

    I run Windows XP

might have been running IE7 at the time

    Norton

on a side note I haven't gotten a notice on this computer.
