I want to do some fancy cookie things - tiny houses and such - for Crazy Season gifts. Unfortunately, of my list, a couple people don't eat eggs, for various reasons.

Does anyone, by any chance, have a recipe for an icing that would set up and "glue" like a royal icing, but without the egg white/meringue powder? Low in fat would be good too, since my theme this year is "All the Treat, Minus the Guilt".

    HOT GLUE GUN!

or powder sugar with water and maybe some gelatin?
    vegan gelatin of course.

How about caramelized sugar and house the houses in plexiglass with silica gel?

try the sugar and water or milk.

Minus the guilt 'cos you can't eat it? Hee hee. Hot glue gun and festive warning labels. I saw this little craft idea in a magazine once, for little "truffle" pincushion pillows made of satin and ribbon. Maybe that's it; I'll make baskets full of stuff that looks like food but isn't.:D
