I accidentally bought a bag of desiccated coconut. How do I use this for desserts?
Desiccated coconut just means that the coconut has less moisture in it than its counterpart: shredded coconut. You can still use this for most recipes as most coconut recipes add lots of moisture into the equation. You can also use it on the savoury side of things and do a coconut chicken. It doesn't make that dramatic of a difference. /img/vbsmilies/smilies/biggrin.gif
You could make Nanimo Bars. Check Allrecipes.com for Nanimo Bars III. It uses 1 cup of coconut in the crust.
