Hello everyone. I want to go to Paris next year and was curious if anyone had advice on the best time to go. When is the best season for food? Thanks for your help.

I understand food is a big item when going to Paris but there's much more as you can imagine. Maybe visiting in fall may be the best season to eat in Paris if you're looking for an abundance of seasonal food. Question is more where to eat than what to eat, especially when you have the words "tourist" and "american" written all over your forehead!

I would like to suggest to check one of the best food blogs around, David Lebowitz blog. He lives in Paris and writes in English. This is his page "My Paris" that you should read; http://www.davidlebovitz.com/paris/

His suggestions on where to eat in Paris are probably the most reliable for an American visiting Paris. Somewhere in the blog there's was a do-and-don't list for tourists visiting Paris. I'm sure you'll find it.

We went last July.  It was a little warmer than we would have liked but it was amazing no less.  We stayed near the Arc de Triomphe in a boutique hotel called Balmoral.  It was just a few blocks away from a great farmers market, not to be missed.  You can get cutlery and tools there as well, which is exactly what I loaded up on.  But they serve a lot of amazing dishes too.  If you can go, don't miss it.

We're planning to go back in June/July.  I took a lot of French lessons before going but somehow when we returned, I forgot just about everything I learned.

    I love Paris.
