Thoughts on this thermometer?

Looking to pick up a new thermometer and I was looking at this one:

Any one used it or have any general thoughts?  I'm very much open to soliciting opinions on a reliable, high temp thermometer for my coat.

I have a very similar one, but by Taylor.  I absolutely love it and use it several times a day.  The only draw back is that mine is a bit loose, so when I lean over, the thermometer falls out of its holder - hopefully this brand is a better fit.

This was a complaint in one of the user reviews. :(

Hi Rob and Jelly,

I know the blue ones you can pass the holder over an open flame, It doesn't take much, then insert the stem immediately and slide it in an out.

Keep doing it till it slides tight. The ones with metal clips can be opened on the inside top.

Rob,

I really think the most important part of a thermometer is easy accurate callibration.  We bought a couple of ones that looked like yours.

The settings kept changing. I don't know if yours is self callibrating but our were never accurate. The ones with the nut under the dial

were the best for us to callibrate.

I was watching an episode of ATK the other day and they were reviewing thermometers. Of the lower priced pocket thermometers, this one was their favorite.

I have a few Taylors. The digital one is good except if you happen to drop it. Then it gets thrown off a bit and near impossible to adjust where the other ones can be tested and adjusted,
