I'm going to Thailand in January and I want to do a one-day cooking course there.

Has anyone here done one? Any course you can recommend?

I'm really keen on the 6 day course they teach at sitca, but I'm travelling with someone who is not really interested in cooking (although he loves food /img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif), so that has to wait for another time.

I've convinced him to do a day course though....

I'm really looking forward to my trip. I need a break and by all accounts the food in Thailand is considered very good, so I'll be eating lots and lost

    At home cook
Hi, I realize that my post is a few months late, but.......

A couple of years ago, I took a half-day cooking course with Mae Kaidee in Bangkok.  I enjoyed it and thought I learned quite a bit for a short course.  FYI - it is a vegetarian cooking class, and was very hands-on.

    Thanks All,

I was in Thailand in January and did a one day course in Chiang Mai which was good fun. The name has escaped me.It was something like Thai home cooking or so.

One of the great things about it was that you could choose about a large variety of dishes to make (6 dishes and a paste , out of a choice of 40 or 50).

Currently I am cooking a lot of Thai and still enjoy it :)
