I was just exposed to Tajín the other day and 1)loved it and 2) was a little embarrassed that I wasn’t aware of it. I had family visiting that has deep Mexican heritage. I made my famous Molé, but my niece wanted to have elotes as well. My sister in-law said she would procure all ingredients. I have had elotes many times. I was not aware of tahín. When I have made it, I used my own chili powder, paprika, cumin, flaked sea salt. (Used fresh lime juice)
So, what’s your take on it? What eles if anything do you use it for?

I like it. I use it mostly on raw fruits and vegetables.

    Love the stuff!
As phatch said, there's street vendors in Mexico selling {plastic bagged} fruits/veggies & a lot of people like to sprinkle on the Tajin.
Pub there served us complimentary jicama with the stuff sprinkled on..nice crunchy appy.
I like it for micheladas....Tajin rim w/lime juice..clamato, salsa negra, more tajin, lime juice, chopped veggies (cuke, peppers, WHY), tamarind stick & add a beer! :)
