I am considering buying a stand alone electric mixer and am wondering about the relative merits between a Magic Mill by Electroluc of Sweden and a KitchenAid. If you recommend a KitchenAid, which model would you suggest? I rarely bake for more than 10 people (for parties), but more often it is for a family of 2 people. Thanks!

I have a kitchen aid professional 5 qt. model for 13 years. Great little machine. if you get one, look for sales. You can get one for
$300 or less if you find a good sale. I have seen them overly priced at $450 +.

The professional 5 qt. Kitchenaid is great, but you can save yourself about $100.00 if you buy the Kitchenaid Ultra. It has a 4 1/2 qt. bowl and not as much power, but will definately get the job done. Unless you use your mixer more than 3 times a week save yourself some cash.
