Remember you are a guest. Do not be late. Show deference and respect at all times to everyone.
Make sure to show up dressed and ready. Ask if you should bring your knives.
You are there to work and learn, not to teach. Ask if you may write things down. Make sure you have a notebook and pen to do so.
Doing, not talking. Humility, not hubris. Do not eat or taste anything unless offered. Then eat everything you are offered.
Ask questions about anything you are curious about but otherwise, just observe silently as you work. do not offer an opinion unless actually asked. Be willing to do anything they ask, however mundane. Be willing to be corrected on anything you do. If they say you need to do it over, then you need to do it over. Focus on your work but observe everything you can.
Very important-at the end of the day, make sure to personally thank those you worked with for the opportunity. Do not simply leave. Send a sincere thank you letter the next day.
