I need a dozen plates for medium/large appetizer sized portions  "two ways." This is for home use. Any suggestions?

I purchased salad plates and used them as appetizer plates from Williams-Sonoma, a little spendy.

I’ve also gotten descent plates at Wal-Mart.

I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend and the quality too.

Too many variables for a good answer.

My taste has run to plain white squares and rectangles so I always look at the plates in a store when I'm in one with plates. And if I see something that works in a size I need at a worthwhile price great.

By sticking with plain white, I can mix and match brands and sizes without having to worry so much about patterns and colors. That choice lets me add to my set up easily on the fly.

If I had to match a specific color or pattern, I'd probably store pictures on my phone for easy reference while shopping.
