softening whipped cream that's been whipped too stiff?

    I'm guessing the answer is most probably no, but since you guys know all sorts of tricks... is there any way to soften whipped cream that's been overwhipped and is now a bit stiff?

    It is now Butter. I have never tried to re melt or soften it. I would not be for that.

    I think, if it's not too far gone, you can try whipping it slowly while adding more liquid cream to it.

    Thanks guys for your insight. 
    It's not quite butter yet but ... somewhere on its way to butter, yes, exactly. 
    I wanted to try that with milk... I've used up all my liquid cream. I think it may be JUST too far gone though.

    Danke BDL und berndy. Ich habe versucht ein paar Dinge und landete Abschluss die gleiche Sache, ist die Creme nun in den Papierkorb.
