I have a berry brule recipe that calls for "smetana". What is it?
The only Smetena I know was a composer from Czecheslovakia.
Give us ther recipe, perhaps there was a typo or mis-translation.
All creme brulee's need are eggs, sugar, cream and flavoring like a liquor or juice.
Is that sour cream, or creme fraiche?? I'll google it up...
