~~hello everyone, I'm 16 years old and I don't know if I'm going to enter the culinary or pastry world for my career or not. actually, I love eating especially desserts and I also want to make some of them to see every people smile. whenever i eat desserts, my sad face become happy :) but sad to say, I don't have any experience, I just can cook simple dish at home. I'm really inspired to be a chef I love watching tv shows like top chef, should I enter pastry or culinary school even though I don't have any experience? by the way, I'm in paris. would u pls give me some advice? thank you so much :)

Some entry requirements in certain schools state that you have about six months experience for culinary but I am not sure about baking and pastry. If you are in Paris try to get a job at a bakery or patisserie, even if you are volunteering. Talk to the owner about just shadowing in a restaurant so you get an idea if this is the field you want to go into. I highly reccamend this because school is expensive and life in the restaurant business is very different from what you see on tv. It can be beautiful and rewarding like you think but there is a lot of practice and hard work behind it. I have heard many great things about a couple of Paris schools, including Le Cordon Bleu of Paris. Remember, you are sixteen and your interests and career decision can very well change soon so just do your research.

Fortunately for me the school I'm attending allows you to get a duel degree if you so choose so that's what I'm going for. You might want to see if something similar is offered in your area if that interests you.

I can see that you love desserts. I suggest that you go for pastry school. You'll learn a lot from there.  You might as well put up your own business.
