    grease (pam) a 3qt. ovenproof casserole dish.
    place 2-3 large sliced potatoes (more if desired.) in the bottom of the casserole.
    cover potatoes with approximately 1 pound of uncooked ground beef. add one 10 3/4 ounce can of tomato soup on top.
    cover and bake approximately one hour (may be longer if more potatoes and beans
    are added.) uncover the last 15 minutes and place american cheese slices on top to
    melt.

    Thanks for sharing your recipe. What temp do you use for your oven?
    And could a tasty or cheddar cheese be used instead? (I'm not in America)

    It's really good with onions & mushrooms added too...I bake mine at 350F in a conventional oven, 300F in a convection.
