Hello all, and thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm currently responsible for planning the itinerary of a trip to Saint Louis. I have lived in Saint Louis for a year, approximately 4 years ago. I'm struggling to remember all the names of the great places to eat around the area. I am asking your help with locating some great restaurants or must-see dives to bring the group to.

    The following categories all apply:

    Breakfast diners/brasseries.

    Fine dining.

    Culturally significant (Missouri barbecue maybe?)

Within tourism areas (Anything near the Arch with a view? On the river?)

Any help from local chefs, residents, or persons that have visited Saint Louis and dined at some awesome places would be greatly appreciated!

If they still have it, downtown STL is a restaurant called Hodges. Mainly a place to put chili on all sorts of different breakfast foods. Definitely a local place, kinda hidden from the tourists.

Chase Park Plaza (right next to the loop) is a great place for lunch (Cafe Eau) or a very nice dinner (their Bistro, expensive though).

As for cultural significants, the thin crust pizza (imo's style, but don't go there) and anywhere with TOASTED ravioli. Still can't get over the fact that everywhere else calls it fried raviolis.

Let me know where you end up going, I miss the old stomping grounds!!
