Can someone explain exactly what a "coral wood" handle is? is it actual wood? a wood composite? some sort of plastic that looks like wood?  I have a friend who owns these knives and I didn't look closely, and they were older but I did thing they were real wood.

I have two knives with pakkawood handles, the stuff seems near indestructible.

My Sabatiers date to the early 70's and the handles are black and man-made.

I guess the Sabatiers from the 70's have POM or natural wood handles. Pakka is a major improvement.
