    Hello all,

I'm a butcher who has recently been contacted to research, create and train for a recipe.  I have agreed to complete the task but was wondering what is a fair rate for my hourly time to do so.  Thank you all.

also, what is the practice as far as the recipe.  They've agreed to pay for my time and materials and resources.  When it is said and done do I also charge them for the completed recipe?

I highly recommend seeking out some sort of legal advice before proceeding any further and esp before signing anything.

I've written recipes for national publications.....they published in a magazine, their cookbook and published them on line.  I got paid for each thing they used the recipe....

Payment was ingredients + a set amount per recipe, (for each publication).  After 6 months the recipes were still my property and I could resell to another publication.

Chibutcher, you've not given us enough info to give you more accurate $$$ advice.
