I am very glad to have found this site. I was close to shopping for a commercial style range.

    Long version...
I currently have a electric Kitchen Aid range and it is time to replace it. At the time I purchased it I guess I didn't care enough about cooking and just want a fancy looking stove with bells and whistles.

Well I've learned since that bells and whistles means more stuff to break :( I am more function over form now, and also enjoy cooking and baking at home.

I stumbled on this form and learned a lot about using a commercial range in a residential application and how dangerous it could be. So scratch that idea.

So I am back to square one. First and foremost I want simple, don't confuse that with basic. It has to work and work well for years to come. I am able to do maintenance and replace parts myself. I would actually prefer a range that I could work on myself if need be.

I'm hoping you guys could give me some good suggestions on where to start shopping.

    Thanks.
