question about a convection oven

    Today I ordered this oven range it has a convection oven. I figured a convection oven would be great but after reading a bunch of threads on here im not so sure if I even want it anymore because I bake allot of cakes, cookies, breads,pies, soufflés, cheesecakes, etc etc. I read that the fan ruins the cake batter and the dough will be cooked unevenly? ? I am aware that I will be needing to lower the cooking temperature by 25% and perhaps take it out the oven in less time. Can the fan be turned off? And if not should I just cancel the order and look for a traditional electric oven to avoid these issues? Heres a link of the oven range, can someone shed some light to this problem??
