I like to cook pot roast in a pot. My mother used roasting bags when I was a kid but I don't understand what their purpose is. I didn't even know they sold them anymore, haven't we learned that it's dangerous to heat up plastic?

I personally don't use them (have one in the cabinet tho) but my sister does the Tday turkey in one.

Always moist and nicely browned and (key word here) eatable.

If you are doing a roast you will need to brown it first.

I tried those bags for Crock Pots once, but I didn't think that it was all that great.

Yeah, clean up was a breeze, but I agree with @Koukouvagia  the thought of melted plastic surly isn't appetizing, especially since Mister K~girl has learned how to do dishes, including the pots and pans /img/vbsmilies/smilies/wink.gif  baked goods serve as a great motivator /img/vbsmilies/smilies/lol.gif
