Could be my imagination or lack of familiarity with the new site, but "new posts" button and "recent posts" button seem to be exhibiting some incongruities.

these might show the difference better
    top was "recent"
    bottom was "new"
top had 13 entries between first and "Gino's"
bottom had 7 entries between first and "Gino's"

I have been looking for something like "recent threads" but can't find it.
I can only find "new posts" and that one is a bit of an issue because as soon as you checked out a thread, it's gone from the "new posts" list.

Not wanting to hijack this thread, but I think they are related...

We don't offer this feature on the new platform. Sorry about the inconvenience!

Why when logged in does clicking on recent posts reveal more accurate up to date results than clicking on new posts, and yet this doesn't occur when not logged in and I click on them?
