Once upon a time i had a thanks giving treat : a huge ball of popcorn colored pink . The stuff was glued together by some kind of pink caramel or something. Does anyone have the recipe, I would love to make it for my kids :bounce:

    Coquille,

Check here. A few drops of red food coloring to a batch will turn it pink.

    Good luck!

Mmmmm! Popcorn is wonderful, and popcorn balls are a fond childhood memory. Since then I've seen them molded into various shapes. I've also seen them dipped completely or partially in chocolate. :lips:

Coquille, you may have given me the idea I needed for what to make for a bake sale! Thank you for the inspiration.

For regular eating popcorn, pop it in coconut oil, drizzle with melted, unsalted butter (Plugra preferred) and dust with fine sea salt...you will be in heaven!

I see you already got great help, but couldnt resist posting this recipe for you - I did this for my nieces when they were small and they just loved it -

    Popcorn Balls
    Tasty Temptation Recipe
    Ingredients:
    4 quarts popped corn
    5 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 - 10 oz. bag of miniature marshmallows
    Food coloring of choice

    Directions:
Melt butter and marshmallows together. Add drops of food coloring according to whatever holiday, mix well.

Last, put in popcorn and coat good. Butter your hands and form into popcorn balls.

Yields about 12 to 18 depending on how big you make them.
