Hi, y'all! I haven't been on this site in a while but you were all very helpful when I was deciding whether or not to go to culinary school. I'm currently living in Scottsdale, AZ and am in the patisserie and baking program at Le Cordon Bleu. I'm trying to plan ahead and am starting to look for an externship either here in Phoenix or in Houston as I am from Texas and want to move back whenever possible. I was just hoping that I could get some advice as to how and where to start. I'm also not working as of right now so I have also been looking for a part time job that could lead to an externship. I'm also not really sure as to how to find an externship from across the country- I've found a few places online and from past trips to Houston but I'm not sure if it's better to write a letter, send an e-mail, or to just call... I don't have much experience but I've inherited an amazing work ethic from my single mother (loving this industry also helps!) and I don't want possible employers to toss my resume just because of my lack of experience. As you can see, I'm all over the place with questions and really hope that y'all can help in any way possible!
