Pasta sheets stuck to wax paper

Pretty sure I'm hosed, but just checking before I toss the whole thing... I made pasta dough last night, rolled it out with the KA attachment, and then I laid each sheet, as it came from roller, on a piece of wax paper on a cookie sheet, and kept stacking them, with wax paper between each layer. I did not dust each layer with flour first (doh). Of course, they immediately stuck together. Krap. I was so pissed at myself that I almost chucked it all but decided to put the whole cookie sheet in the freezer, covered with foil, until the morning. Which is where we're at now.

No way to salvage?

Oh man I don't know.  The egg may have made it stick.  I feel bad, this kinda stuff happens all the time with all kinds of things.

But the good thing is since you know how to to it now you can do it twice as fast.  Go straight from the sheeter into boiling water.  :)

Problem is that I was going to make tortellini, so I needed to cut the sheets into 3" circles. Tried to, but the circles just fail coming off the paper.

Just thought of this... What about just scraping as much as I can off the paper, forming a ball, and try again? Doesn't seem to have dried out yet. You guys think that would be an excersize in futility?

At this point anything is better than nothing which is what you have.  :)  I'll be thinking of you man, sending best wishes for best results.

What about this: change from tortellini to lasagna. Boil the sheets with the paper and pray the paper and the dough will naturally split in the boiling water.

Hmm... Interesting idea. Do you think the wax paper will funkify the boiling water and screw up the pasta?

Don't know. Give it a try and pray. Praying is the most important cooking technique here.

At this point you could have made at least a few batches of pasta.

I hate to waste as much as the next person but gotta agree with @kuan  on this one.

Trying to salvage a couple of eggs and some flour is a lesson in futility at this point.

The product will end up overworked (chewy and heavy).

Start over...

Yup, didn't work. Tried to salvage because it was two batches, spinach and red bell pepper, but it was too far gone.
