Say in front of  female employees  even one that works in the kitchen That Women don't belong in restaurant kitchens ! I work in a kitchen in Ontario Canada now while I'm not a chef nor do I have a red seal ,I do have a lot of experience in the industry9high end restaurants ,Fast food ,collage and golf courses My two other co=-workers other than the chef  are an 18 yr. old who did a six month stint at Lone star and an immigrant Italian who is attending Liaison Culinary School that hasn't figured out that you CANNOT put hot oil from a deep fryer into a plastic bucket and throws things into the dish pit ..I'm the one doing dishes .Last Friday night there was an event going on and the chef had this 18 yr old and himself doing the food part I was scheduled to 8;30  when 8;30 can and I said I was going home I was told that if I didn't stay "Don't come crying to me if your hours get cut .I went home anyway (I don't like  being threatened ) then I guess when he got home he decided to text me till 1 am about how upset he was  that I left on my scheduled time and they had the mess to clean (if they can serve the food  can't they clean up after themselves ) then today this bull sh%T ! Isn't there human rights involved ?

You had a bad day----and it sounds like you may be working under the rule of a drunk or an idiot.

It is unprofessional ,at the very least, to text you after hours---perhaps even a violation of your workers rights.

I don't know your situation or job opportunities in your area---but if it were me,I'd be looking for a better job----

I will let you in on a little clue, male chefs don't have a corner on the market when it comes to being unprofessional idiots. Nor on making sexist remarks.

Oh I agree 100 % that either side should say anything against the other ,however since actions speak LOUDER than words he seems to be following his arrogant sexist nose !
