    I go every other year.

This year, I'll be there for 3 days instead of the usual 2.

I'm taking in a few seminars and also the wine and spirits show on Sunday.

Chicago is such a vibrant city and I enjoy visiting......lived there for 20 years.

Now it's culture shock when I go back.

I live in rural America with no stop lights, no trains, no noise pollution, so I park the car and taxi where I need to go.

When my wife ran the office for the 26-unit Sizzler and Dock's chains in the Chicago area, we got passes for the NRA  every year, and always had a ball.  Have to admit, though, we were more interested in the samples than the technical aspects of the show.  /img/vbsmilies/smilies/wink.gif

    I miss it.

    Nah.

I don't like guns that much.

Besides, NYC has strict gun control laws.

Not for me either. Have guns in the house for protection, my husband is a retired officer, but we don't celebrate them. For us I guess you could say It's a necessary evil. Wouldn't want to be caught off guard without one.

    I was kidding.

I know, my sense of humor can be obtuse and ambiguous.

    Pollo'-

There are samples of EVERYTHING you can serve in a restaurant. Don't eat anything for at least two days before you go, and you may be able to try almost all that are on offer!

But only if you spend all day. /img/vbsmilies/smilies/wink.gif

I got a pass this year from my school's Society for Hospitality Administration program. I've been there Saturday & Sunday, and so far it's awesome! Got to see some cool speakers, gadgets, and not to mention THE FOOD!!
