Nitriding cast iron skillet

Nitriding cereates a very hard and contiguous surface, which probably has some non-stick properties. It has poor wetting and porosity, so will likely be like stainless in seasoning, ie, not too receptive. If seasoning use a pure high-temp processed vegetable oil, or most animal fat, pork being the least desireable of animal fats.
