    Hello folks-glad to find this site, I had heard of it from a friend and decided to try it myself.
    Just a bit of background as I get started on this new adventure:
    I have been a chef for over two decades and have been fortunate to have been able to travel abroad in my pursuits of fine cuisine. I have retired from the hotel industry and now run the kitchen in a suburban country club just north of Chicago. I am currently looking for a site to start my own restuarant ( boy, is that a piece of work, any advice would be appreciated!).
    I am knowledgable in cooking and am vocal about my passions regarding food and am looking for some good conversation with others and to learn from this community of food lovers and professionals. Bye for now, John
