I am about to buy an induction cook top and will have to purchase new cookware.  Many brands advertise themselves as "induction compatible" - not sure what that means.

Has anyone used the Calphalon Tri-ply Stainless Steel on an induction cook top and if so, with what results?

Take a magnet with you when shopping, if it sticks, the pan will work on an induction cook-top.

I believe the older Calphalon Tri-ply does not work, but newer pieces will.  You'll need a magnet to be sure.
