Actually, late morning brunch. It's already 3pm here...
Well you certainly inspired our morning here! I decided to make french toast, which I think I've only made once before a long long time ago. Thakfully I had some stale bread I didn't know what to do with so it worked out.
Cinammon French toast made with eggs, half n half, vanilla extract and cinammon and sugar. Fried in butter and finished in the oven. Alongside a baked egg with left over mashed potatoes, asparagus, and sprinkled with cheddar underneath.
THis makes me very hungry for brunch. We should do a brunch challenge.
You can cook me leftovers anytime if it turns out like that. Great looking breakfast or brunch.
I've been expecting an egg challenge. We shall see.
That's what I would do if I ever won a challenge. I doubt I'll ever win but whoever does should definitely host an egg challenge one of these days. So many possibilities.
I LOVE EGGS.
Almost challenging Wylie Ddufresne´s love of eggs LOL.
Been wanting to do an egg challenge for awhile as well.
Jarmo i loved your pan with the egg rounds on them. Pretty handy i assume.
already posted this pic, but heres my breakfast for dinner about 3 days ago XD
Lighting sucks be heres a cinnamon french toast made of stale bread and sweet and salt caramalized apples
Ahh how I love brunch! I grew up on a small, family owned poultry farm, so I take any chance I get to try something new with eggs. Great pictures, everyone. Here are a few brunch dishes I've made for my girlfriend and I recently.
Sous-vide egg yolk, baby bok choy, pomegranate seeds, shaved Provolone
And a Mediterranean style brunch: Poached eggs, cannellini beans, parsley pistachio pesto.
And finally, what I like to call a 'separated' egg. The whites were beaten and baked in a ramekin, and the yolks were whisked over a double boiler with salt and a few drops of vinegar until thickened. Served with crispy pancetta and sunflower sprouts.
That would be awesome!
Abaff i think i should warn you that i am so going to try (maybe even borrow) that separated egg recipe.
It looks amazing not just the plating but the entire idea. XD
Glad you like it. I hope it turns out as delicious for you as it did for me!
Cheese grits, sunny side, hot sauce. Good stuff.
Love me some grits. I made corned beef hash with sunny side up eggs and ciabatta toast.
Thick sliced French Toast stuffed with sweetened cream cheese, dipped in sliced almonds and served with strawberry sauce, Turkey Bacon
I made panettone french toast a couple weeks ago.
Great for hangovers..
