More Knife Talk... Kershaw?!

I have a well made, top quality Kershaw knife. There is a lot of attention to detail and it really is well crafted. So, I was surprised when I saw an ad featuring my favorite TV chef brandishing Kershaw kitchen cutlery. Does anybody have any experience with these specimens? The knife in the ad appeared to be of the damascus style...

Kershaw's kitchen knives are decent. My memory is hinting that they're related to Kyocera, the producers of the ceramic knives. Kershaw tends to use slightly lesser steels as steels go in the knife snob world, but the steel used is as good or better than that in Henkels.

Phil,
Thanks for the scoop. I have my eye on the Kershaw "Shun" Damascus-style (clad) Vegetable Cleaver. It is going for around $160, so I wanted a little input before I venture further. Now I have to find one to 'play' with.

Over Kershaw, I like the Spyderco line of kitchen knives, and I really love the Benchmade set.

Spyderco Kitchen Knives

Can't find a link for the benchmade set. It's sweet.
