Can someone help me solve my problem?

Made several monkey breads - used pizza dough but too hard on outside, trying to avoid sugar and settled with using refrigerated biscuits. Used cinnamon & sugar but wanted to use cheese & herbs. Found a recipe pasted below but the balls in the bottom part of the bread mixed together and it was difficult pulling apart the balls. What should you use to make them separate like individual balls? Should I roll them into flour then herbs then cheese? the cheese melts so i'm assuming it causes the bottom half of the bread to mix together. Need advice.

    bread, monkey 'the easy way!

    -= Ingredients =

    3 package Refrigerated biscuit dough

    mix in bag:

1 cup grated Parmasan cheese - shredded

2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (basil, garlic, onion, rosemary & thyme)

Cut biscuits into quarters or halves. Shake 6-8 biscuit pieces in the mixture in bag. Arrange pieces in prepared bundt or angel food cake pan.  Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over top.

Bake. 35 mnutes @ 350° Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn out onto a plate. The bread just pulls apart.

Warm up 2 cups marinara sauce for dipping.

To prevent your balls to stick together during the baking you dip then into melted butter when assembling the monkey bread. The metlted butter creates a barrier and this way you will have no problen pulling the bread apart.
