Does the application of mineral oil to a Ho-wood handle make it lose its anti-slip properties?

Put another way, does it become slippery, either dry or wet?

    Cheers!

No.  No.  And, no.  Go ahead and saturate the wood, as long as you wipe any excess off the handles will be good to go in a few minutes.  Oiling ho wood will cause the color to darken from a blondish magnolia to a sort of green-grey cypress sort of thing.
