I don't like low-fat dairy products much myself. Did you know that low-fat dairy actually has added sugar?
Not to mention all the gels and stablizers. I hate trying to make sauce with some of this stuff, that taste of grit buggs the heck out of me.
I've see off the shelf "fat free" products that actually have more calories than their regular fat level cousins. All that sugar to jimmy up the mouth-feel...blech.
Not when you make it from at home. Never had the gritty texture from homemade.
in italy we have plenty of low fat or no fat yoghurts, they're just made with low or no fat milk. They taste like water, but there is no other crap in them.
