Hi, Lizy. Welcome to Cheftalk.
A couple of comments. First off, that site doesn't begin to compare the stand mixers that are currently on the market. On the other hand, we've had several discussions, here, about them. So if you use our search engine you'll find all sorts of opinions, comparisons, and insights into what's available, various features, and the decision points that go into choosing a stand mixer.
Basically, there are two criteria: price, and necessary features. Note I said "necessary" features. That translates into how the unit will be used, and for what.
For instance, I'm an admirer of KitchenAid mixers. But I would never consider the Classic for bread making on a regular basis. On the other hand, I have a personal antipathy for tilt-head mixers, so, when choosing a larger, more powerful unit, went with the Pro 6 and its bowl-lift mechanism.
There are pros and cons, too, for overhead motors and base-motors that you may want to consider.
But the basic questions you have to answer are: How much to I want to spend? And, how will Mom use the machine.
